What an amazing turnout at our Parent Information Evening that was held in conjunction with our Parent,Teacher Interviews last week.
We had so many whanau through Room 14 looking at all the wonderful things we do here at Carterton School in Years 6, 7 and 8.
We had so many positive remarks by parents who visited the display, plus the Carterton students who came through with their teachers.
A huge thankyou to all of our Year 7 and 8 students who helped put the display together and hosted the younger students of our school. Awesome effort!!!!!

Friday Funday
We had a great day on Friday when the PTA supplied a free sausage sizzle for every child, plus a lollie scramble and a free mufti day. The whole school got on board with each class providing a variety of fun activities for all students to participate in.
Room 14 had a great time icing biscuits and making jelly and icecream. When everything was ready, Jayden supplied the movie for the afternoon. A great day was had by all!

Year 8's Powell Hut 2015
Yes we are booked to go on our overnight tramp to Powell Hut on Thursday 3rd September returning on Friday the 4th September.
So start thinking about what you will need and see if you can go on line and pick up a second hand pack for the tramp. I saw one on line this morning for a very reasonable price and I'm sure you can then sell it to one of the year 7's for next year.
How exciting for us all!!!!!!!

Norm Hewitt Presentation Monday 15th June
Term 2 - EOTC All Year 7 and 8’s
Dear Parents and Whanau of those students not going to the Young Leaders Conference in Wellington.
On Monday the 15th
of June at Greytown School, Norm Hewitt will be promoting the SPCA’s ‘One of
the Family’ programme to all Year 7 and 8 students in the Wairarapa.
The purpose of his talk is
to highlight the importance of caring for our animals as one of the family. He has a fantastic rapport with all students
and shares what it was like for him growing up with his own animals.
Norm is well worth listening to and we have all been invited along to hear him at Greytown School at around 12.30pm. We will be taking the bus there - leaving school at 12 o'clock and returning around 1.45pm. There is a small cost for this.
Please give your child $4 for the
cost of the bus.
Regards
Lesley, Michelle and Mel
