What’s on this week – Week 6 Term 4 2015

It’s a busy week this week with outside activities.

MondayTeacher Only Day

TuesdayTechnology at Makoura College.  Students wear covered shoes and girls tie up their hair.  Some fees are still to be paid so can we have them in ASAP – thanks. Camp Organisation

Wednesday –– Jump Jam, We will be having our camp parent meeting next Wednesday – the 18th at 7pm in Room 14.  We would like all parents who are coming as helpers to camp – to come along, as it is important we are all aware of camp expectations.  If you would like to know anything about camp, please feel free to come along, even if you are not coming as a parent helper.

Thursday Jump Jam, usual school day

Class Blog- room14cartertonschool2015.blogspot.co.nz.  Check us out and I will be putting any info on the blog such as reminders etc, plus what we have been doing at school and in class.

Google docs – your child has their class log-in and can find any homework etc on Google Drive.  Plus you can see what they have been doing in class if they are using a device or netbook.  We also have 8 Chrome books to use as well as our other devices. Don’t forget the Khan Academy for Maths learning.  Each student can log in using their school email address and their password.  It’s well worth trying out. .

Notes will be coming home this week.  If you don’t get any, please let me know and I can email one to you.

2.   Camp El Rancho forms need to be returned by Wednesday so we can let Camp El Rancho know of any special dietary needs.  Please do not contact the camp directly, that is why we have these forms so we can let the camp know what is needed.

Reminders

Year 8 Leavers Dinner and Dance

A notice came home yesterday (or today) outlining the Year 8 Leavers Dinner and Dance.  The slip at the bottom needs to be filled in and returned to Mrs MacGregor by Friday 20th November. Thank you.

El Rancho Forms
4 El Rancho forms came home from school today along with a camp note.

Please read this note, fill in all four forms completely and return them to school before Friday 20th.


We are having a Camp Meeting on Wednesday 18th at 7pm in Room 14. 

All parents and students are welcome to attend.

Year 7's EOTC Day is cancelled
If the Year 7 students have paid for this EOTC day then the money will be put on their El Rancho Camp fees. If the El Rancho Camp fees are already paid in full then we will reimburse the $25 EOTC money.

FridayFitness, 12 Year 7 Leadership Students off to the GRIP Student Leaders conference in Wellington, Meet me at the train at 7am – be back at 6pm.

2.   EOTC – lots of forms not brought back for the Year 7 EOTC on Thursday and we need transport and parent help - otherwise we will have to cancel.

Remember that you can pay off any camp fees owning to either the office or to me.  You would have received a Camp El Rancho [3] notice last week telling you how much is left to pay.
